About Me?

About Me? Hmmm...let's see. Well, besides living the dream as a top knot wedding photographer...this might get kinda boring.

First, I have been married to my wonderful wife Kerry for 18 years and we have two incredible children together.

Our beautiful daughter Gabriella is now 13 and she LOVES to read, Taylor swift, and not pick up her room.  Oh...and did I mention Taylor Swift?

Our ruggedly handsome little dude Mason is 10 and loves building things, Super Mario Bros, Minecraft, the universe, his big Sissy, and math. (Don't ask me...I don't get it. I just look at pictures.)

We have a wonderful home in the country (Preston, CT) and have 2 labs (Buster & Parker), a fat cat named Mittens, 2 fish and plenty of deer that wonder through and destroy our plants. See...told ya this was boring!

Before my life was blessed with all of these wonderful people & furry beasts, I had long hair, sang in rock bands, drove a Porsche...you get the picture...I was actually kinda cool. lol

insert record scratch sound here..

Now, I have short hair, drive a Volvo(?), & have exchanged my rock-singing duties for dad duty..which means fixing things, taking out slivers, taking care of the homestead, ...and of course, dealing with any spiders/bugs that my wonderful family comes across. Still with me?

Anyways, when I'm not taking care of spiders or ridding our yard of dog poop...I'm photographing awesome people! Which brings me to you!

Sure, I could write a bunch of stuff about how I had a camera in my hand all the time as a youngster, how I like ketchup but don't like tomatoes...my favorite things, my pet peeves...blah, blah, blah.(I'm a NY Yankee fan btw).. But that's what everyone writes and I'd much rather focus (pun intended) on YOU and YOUR wedding! It's YOUR day..not mine! And your wedding is not just another event. It is YOUR special day... YOUR special way. And its made up of a series of fleeting instances we call "moments". Moments that are meant to be cherished for your lifetime and your grandchildren's. My job as a pro-tographer is recognizing these wonderful moments...and cementing them in time for you. Unobtrusively...Creatively...Artistically. "Like a Boss with awesome sauce." (I just copyrighted that so don't get any ideas.).

Anyways, my philosophy and approach is pretty simple really. To be everywhere...yet nowhere. To anticipate things BEFORE they happen. To capture things in a photojournalistic style, but creatively through the exploitation of unique angles and strong composition. I have a "ninja" approach in the way that I am unobtrusive, but I will also do whatever it takes to get the shot. Because, my ultimate goal is to create outstanding & truly unique images for my clients..."Works of Art"...and "Works of Heart". Images that move you.

IMO, your wedding photography should really be one of the TOP priorities when it comes to planning your wedding day. Simply put..there are no "do-overs". This is a once-in-a-lifetime event! Style is important..but experience is absolutely critical when it comes to wedding photography. There's only one chance to get it right.

Unfortunately, the "digital age" and social media has caused the industry to be flooded with tons of new photographers. It must be overwhelming for brides and grooms to sift through the sea of websites. Many of these photographers have good eyes, fancy filters, can blur a background and are obsessed with detail shots because that is what gets them on wedding blogs.  And, I see so many part-timers that jump into wedding photography just as a "weekend gig". But it takes dedication in order to be the BEST at this. One needs to eat, drink & sleep it. When I'm not shooting for clients (or killing spiders), I'm learning and improving my craft. Bottom line, make sure you identify with someone's style and personality...but also make sure you choose someone with the proper experience. You deserve nothing less.

I have a sincere passion for what I do (but everyone says that..right?), and as corny as it sounds..I freakin' DIG wedding photography!! Yeah...that's right...I love it. I truly consider it an honor to be a part of this very special day in a couple's life.and take enormous pride in my work. I go the extra mile to make my clients happy, because this day is all about them, not about me.

Lastly, I try to make an effort to photograph for people who really dig what I do. If this is you...and you're looking for something truly out of the ordinary, then I would love the opportunity to meet you and discuss the possibilities.

Now..where did that spider go?
